Our 51st Annual Woman of the Year Banquet was held on April 26, 2017, at the Ramada Inn.  For the first time in recent memory we had a sold out crowd, which only showed how deserving this year's recipient of the award was.  And we couldn't have asked for a better night celebrating our 51st Annual Woman of the Year, Midge Connon

Midge's family, friends, and fans filled the room with love and enthusiasm. Midge is a retired elementary school teacher who has given much of her time & talents to organizations including Delta Kappa Gamma, Besser Museum for Northeast Michigan, Thunder Bay Arts Council and Alpena County Library. Thank you Midge for all of your contributions to the community and for being a fantastic new Woman of the Year!
